March is quickly upon us.

This new year is flying by. We are seeing an upsurge in residential audio/video remodel work, while the  traditional new luxury home construction segment continues to be rather slow. Our commercial practice is quite busy responding to large scale educational facility audio/video proposal and corporate relocation projects.

APS Solutions for Business Program

We are pleased to announce our recent partnering with Arizona power provider APS in its Trade Ally program. This program utilizes approved contractors to perform energy saving enhancements to commercial buildings. APS rebates a significant portion of the improvement costs. Digital has been approved by APS in the area of: "lighting control engineering and design."

Major bank uses Digital's design and engineering resource.

Digital recently completed work on a schematic design and engineering construction plans for a large national bank. The multi floor "landmark" high rise office project contains the latest office space technologies in digital displays, white boards, audio/video collaboration tools, and office automation. Lighting, video upscaling, and office automation will operate on a Crestron platform, with easily accessible touch pads throughout the multi floor suite. Several video walls will provide multi feed sources to various war room locations. The project employs advanced video collaboration (aka video conferencing) tools from Cisco. The Cisco TelePresence system is the jewel of the video conferencing solution. Telepresence creates live, "face to face" experiences over the network, empowering you to collaborate like never before.

12 Miles of Digital Wire in one home? Believe it.

Digital began prewire services on a 20,000 square foot estate home in the Phoenix area.  Using triple the number of technicians that normally to do the work, Digital went to work pulling twelve miles of combined phone, data, audio/video, automation and security/surveillance wire throughout  the home. "While twelve miles of cabling may sound like a lot, it's  consistent for a home of this magnitude" says Thomas Bechtel, of Digital Home Lifestyles... "This home requires various levels of technology to operate the subsystems. Interconnections, both wired and wireless, form the behind-the-scenes nervous system that serves as the system backbone." Once prewire is complete, and the drywall goes up, the Digital team performs a final integrity test on the wires before final connection and commissioning of audio/video source equipment.
